One day snuck out of the camp with her best friend, Phantomkit, and they came across red berries. She dared him to eat one and he dared her to eat one, and so they did. The red berries were actually deathberries. By the time the clan found them, they were both dead. Her mother is Stonestep and her father is Thorntail.
